2 peppy cocoons at the heart of paris
“To find the ideal space layout for these studios located rue de Charonne in Paris,
we started with the idea that a complete Make-over was an imperative need.
What started with two insalubrious run down rabbit holes were soon
to become lofty cocoons destined for mid/long term rentals.
So these flats are rather destined to a single person
or a young active couple enjoying Paris animated lifestyle.
For each future inhabitants to find a resourcing place to live,
with a real character,we created a real multifunction haven.
Sure, the surfaces are small, but the volumes allow a circulation of one
or more people with social spaces, relaxing or sleeping spaces,
a compact but practical bathroom & W.C. ,
generous dressing with smart pockets of storage all around the apartment.
In addition, the three windows spread over the facade wall of the courtyard
spread natural light in each of the three volumes composing the space.
Not bad for less than 30 SQM, right?”
Because we care about crafting warm and sustainable places we wanted to incorporate natural materials & mix them, such as wood, ceramics, wallpaper, textiles.
The result: A daring yet calm mix of whites, ochre, hues of blue for the colors where the wallpapers & ceramics bring texture and a strong graphic identity.

This project was entirely completed as a collaboration with the design studio SKÉA DESIGNER, based in Montpellier. Tiphaine is a gifted designer with an inspiring personality & amazing energy.
